Introduction

Welcome to nunia. In this video we set up the team: employees and logins, the roles in the engagement, the company’s general settings – and where to find help when a question remains open.

Employees and logins

Under “Employees”, your team is on the left. With “+ Person” you create a new person – with name, function and e-mail. On the right is their profile. In the “Account & access” section you decide whether the person gets a login: “Create login” sends an invitation by e-mail; with it the person sets their password and sets up the second factor. If the invitation got lost, you resend it. For interns or external helpers you time-limit the access: it ends by itself on the chosen day.

Logins, passwords and administrator rights are managed by a person with administrator rights. They can reset a password or have the second factor set up again, for instance after a phone change – and for security they confirm such steps with their own password.

Roles in the engagement

You assign roles not in the team but in the engagement: each engagement has an engagement lead and a responsible person. The engagement lead reviews in the closing process, the responsible person prepares. In the fiduciary area, engagements are open to the whole team – unless you lock an engagement when creating it; then only those assigned see it.

Company settings

Under “Settings” you maintain the company itself. The “General settings” hold company name, logo and accent colour – they appear on the financial statements and in the e-mails to your clients. The “Interface language” is the default for everyone; each person can change it for themselves under “My account”.

Under “Connections” you link the bexio company for the data import. Below follow the house standard of the financial statements, the closing process checklist, which you adapt to your practice, the reference values for the closing and the chat deletion period.

The AI functions are optional and can be turned off. They run within Europe, with data minimisation and no training use – the server components are in Switzerland.

Help & support

If a question remains open, “Help & support” helps. Above, the search – say for “financial year” or “approval”. Below, the “How-to help” per area, the “Tutorial videos” you are watching right now, and under “My requests” your questions to the team with the answers.

The assistant

And on every page the assistant waits at the bottom right. It knows the page you are on and answers questions on operation and on financial reporting under the CO. If it does not know, you hand the question to the team with one click – you find the answer under “My requests”.

Summary

That was team and settings. With that, nunia is set up – for you and your team.

Frequently asked questions

Who can manage logins and passwords?

A person with administrator rights. They create logins, reset passwords, set up the second factor again and confirm these steps with their own password.

Can an access be time-limited?

Yes. For interns or external helpers, the access ends by itself on the chosen day; the time limit can be removed at any time.

Where do I set the interface language?

The default for the company under “Settings”; each person can choose their own language under “My account” – German, French, Italian or English.

What happens to a question the assistant cannot answer?

With one click you hand it to the nunia team; the answer appears under “Help & support” at “My requests”.
