Introduction
Welcome to nunia. In this video we show your workspace: tasks, appointments and deadlines across all engagements, and how to add a new one.
My workspace: board and agenda
After signing in, nunia opens “My workspace”. The header shows the date, the calendar week and what is due – such as an overdue task. Below is your board with three priorities; move cards by dragging them. On the right is the agenda: calendar, tasks and the appointments of the next 14 days. Under “Personalise” you choose the header colour, your own background image and the start view.
Creating and handing over tasks
With “Task” you create a new task with engagement, priority, due date and responsible person. In the task you record a description, checklist, links, files and comments. If you hand over a task, it appears for you under “Handed over” and for your colleague under “Received”. Via the Team-Boards you see the boards of colleagues who have shared them with you. Once a task is done, tick it off directly on the card.
Appointments and deadlines
nunia generates the statutory deadlines itself – from each engagement’s scope and master data. Under “Appointments & deadlines” you see the upcoming deadlines, preset to the next 90 days; overdue items come first. Filters by topic, such as VAT, closing and general meeting or taxes, and by client, narrow the list.
The calendar shows deadlines and tasks as month, week or list; with the working-day rule, no deadline falls on a weekend. With “Subscribe in calendar” you bring the deadlines into Google, Outlook or Apple Calendar; the feed updates itself.
Engagements and responsibilities
The engagement overview shows the whole year: per engagement and deadline: done, overdue, due soon or open.
Under “Engagements & responsibilities” each engagement gets an engagement lead and a responsible person. With “My engagements” you see only your own. Responsibility determines who sees the deadlines and who is proposed as reviewer at closing. An engagement can also be locked – then only those responsible and explicitly authorised persons open it.
Creating a new engagement
You add a new engagement with “Create engagement”: company, legal form, domicile and the engagement lead. For individuals with a tax return only, there is the deadline engagement. nunia then opens the master data; in the scope of engagement you choose services – such as preparing financial statements, tax return and VAT. For each service nunia shows the cycle and deadline – quarterly for VAT, for the closing six months after the financial year. The new deadlines appear in the overview at once.
Summary
That was your workspace. Tasks, appointments and deadlines for all engagements in one place – and every deadline has a responsible person. You will find more tutorial videos on nunia.ch. Until next time.
